Simon Dunstall

Simon Dunstall heads the Systems Analysis and Optimisation group and the Disaster Extremes and Losses project in the CSIRO Digital Productivity flagship initiative. Over the period 2011-2014 he has formulated and led a series of projects spanning topics in bushfire risk and electricity assets for Western Power, SA Power Networks and the Victorian Powerline Bushfire Safety Program. He has also contributed to CSIRO’s work for the AEMO “100% Renewable Supply” study, and the recently-completed CSIRO Future Grid Forum. In addition to his role at CSIRO, he is the Victorian Chair and National President for the Australian Society for Operations Research, and a committee member for the Logistics Association of Australia.
